Clarity Consulting Group Limited ('Clarity Consulting Group') is committed to ensure your personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act.

Collecting Your Personal Information

It is Clarity Consulting Group's practice to collect personal information directly from you.  However, often your personal information is collected through the use of Clarity Consulting Group's website or in response to printed and/or online advertisements or via social media.

There may be instances where Clarity Consulting Group will source personal information from another third party, or from a source within the public domain.  If Clarity Consulting Group does not have your prior written consent (email, letter or fax), Clarity Consulting Group will take practical and reasonable steps to inform you that it has collected personal information from the third party.

Accuracy of Candidate Data

Clarity Consulting Group takes practical and reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it collects about you is correct, up to date and complete. In situations where your personal information has changed, please contact Clarity Consulting Group at enquiries@claritynz.com so that we may update your personal information on our database as soon as possible.

Clarity Consulting Group takes practical and reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, and misuse.  Your personal information may be stored as hard copy documents, electronic documents, or on Clarity Consulting Group's software or systems. 
When no longer required, your personal information (physical files and electronic files) is destroyed in a secure manner and deleted off our software systems.  You will receive notification from us that we have completed this task in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

Use of Your Personal Information

Clarity Consulting Group may collect personal information from you so that its consultants can:
  • assist you to find your next role (with your written authorisation)
  • conduct our own assessment of your skills, experience and attributes
  • instruct third party providers to conduct assessments of your abilities on behalf of the clients/prospective employer
  • provide you with career development and/or counselling advice
  • analyse the legal recruitment market, in New Zealand and selected other jurisdictions.
Any personal information that Clarity Consulting Group collects about you may include the information that you have provided on your candidate authorisation form or CV.

Your personal information, including your physical address, email address, landline numbers and cell phone number will not be disclosed to any client or prospective employer unless Clarity Consulting Group receives your written authorisation to do so (by letter, fax, or email, or as agreed to on the Candidate Authorisation Form).

In terms of Clarity Consulting Group's website, if you click onto the website, you agree to the terms of this Clarity Consulting Group's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of the policy terms, please refrain from using the Clarity Consulting Group's website.

Clarity Consulting Group may collect personal information that you choose to provide either by email or by completion of any online forms. Any personal information provided online is treated in the same way as any personal information collected through other means described above.
Use of your Personal Information by Parties other than Clarity Consulting Group

Clarity Consulting Group may use and disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes it was collected, or for a related purpose such as providing you with one of our services. Accordingly, Clarity Consulting Group may disclose your personal information to a number of third parties, including but not limited to:
  • prospective employers (clients)
  • service providers, including organisations that conduct competency or psychometric tests on behalf of Clarity Consulting Group
  • clients who may wish to engage your services as a contractor or temporary employee
  • your nominated referees
  • any government authority
  • any law enforcement body, including the New Zealand Police
  • any educational organisations and professional bodies in order to verify your qualifications.
If Clarity Consulting Group discloses personal information to any third party, Clarity Consulting Group will request these parties to protect such personal information in the same way that Clarity Consulting Group does.
